This was truly a trip of a lifetime! From our wonderful tour guide to the super safari drivers and the fantastic surroundings - Tauck outdid itself. We saw all of the big 5, watched 2 cheetahs make a kill and watched 2 lions stalk their prey. Would recommend this trip to adventurous families who want to broaden their view of the world!
Most Memorable Moment:
Meeting and getting to know the wonderful people of Tanzania. They are so proud of their country and are exemplary ambassadors.
The trip was fantastic. We saw every animal on the list! Kilimanjaro peak was clear! The food was delicious- a massive amount (nothing "weird," Africans like grilled meats, fruits and veggies). Our jeep drivers went out of their way to provide for our safety and enjoyment. Hotels were "unique." Mosquitoes didn't bother most, but seemed to like me.
Most Memorable Moment:
Loved standing up in our safari jeep as it took the winding/steep road out of the crater - wind whipping as we jostled over bumpy roads while keeping our balance. We could have sat down, but that ride was a thrill! Highlight: seeing a herd of elephants stop at a beautiful watering hole and crossing in front of us. Hippo fight was VERY intense.
