Travel Updates

Travel Updates will keep you informed on the operating status of tours or cruises by destination, and provide up-to-date information on our travel policies.

Tour & Cruise Status by Destination

UNITED STATES

(October 2, 2025) As reported in the media, the U.S. federal government began a shutdown on October 1 that may impact access to certain national parks, monuments, and federal facilities. Based on the information we have at present, Tauck is planning to operate all upcoming departures as scheduled with a few modifications to select itineraries. Our product teams remain in close contact with our trusted supplier partners and will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves. Should circumstances require alterations to an upcoming tour or cruise, we will communicate directly with those guests and advisors regarding expected impacts on a rolling basis.

ISRAEL

(September 22, 2025) As reported in the media, the tragic conflict in Gaza continues. As a result of ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza, Tauck has made the difficult decision to cancel the following departures:

  • Israel and Jordan - All departures scheduled through May 2026 have been cancelled.

Although our Israel and Jordan tours remain open for booking, our intent and ability to operate these journeys will be dependent on future developments in the region. Tauck's Global Response Team continues to actively monitor events in the region (and elsewhere in the world) on an on-going basis, consulting with our vast network of outside agencies, supplier partners, and other industry contacts to stay abreast of circumstances in all areas where we operate. As always, the health and wellbeing of our guests, employees, and partners are our highest priorities.

EUROPE

  • Traveling to or through the European Union (EU)

Beginning in October 2025, the European Union will gradually introduce a new Entry/Exit System (EES) to help modernize border controls and enhance security. The system will require travelers who are not citizens of an EU country to provide basic biometric information when entering the Schengen Area for short stays (up to 90 days within a 180-day period). Some information to bear in mind:

  • At border checkpoints, you may be asked to provide fingerprints and a photograph, along with basic passport details. Once biometric data is recorded, you will only be required to present your passport at future entries.
  • Processing times may be a little longer during the initial roll-out, so we recommend allowing extra time when traveling through EU airports or land borders.
  • These records will form a secure electronic entry and exit log, replacing traditional passport stamping and making it easier for authorities to track length of stay.
  • There is no cost and no advance application required for EES.
