Private whale-watching cruise

Day 12

The ultimate whale-watching experience off Alaskan shores...

Venture into the pristine coastal wilderness of Alaska in search of its most captivating marine residents. Aboard specialized whale-watching cruises, keep watch for the majestic humpback whale, whose elaborate breaching and tail-slapping displays have earned it the title "acrobat of the ocean." These migratory giants travel thousands of miles to feed in Alaska's nutrient-rich summer waters, surfacing every 10 to 15 minutes for air. But the waters hold more than whales – stay alert for the striking black-and-white patterns of orca pods, the stealthy movements of harbor seals, Steller sea lions, and the occasional black bear foraging along the shoreline. Overhead, bald eagles circle in wide arcs, while countless seabirds nest along rocky cliffs, completing this living portrait of Alaska's untamed coastal ecosystem.

Private flightseeing by floatplane

One of life's memorable experiences – flightseeing

A scenic flight by floatplane reveals Alaska's vast scale from above, where glacial valleys, winding rivers, and remote wilderness stretch far beyond the reach of the road. Snow-capped peaks, braided waterways, and dense forest unfold below, offering a rare sense of distance and isolation shaped by the landscape and the conditions of the day.

Sail the soul of Alaska with timeless elegance

Through Alaska's Wild Beauty... aboard a ship designed for discovery

Cruising Alaska with Tauck aboard a Holland America ship is an invitation to experience the Last Frontier in comfort and style. Glide past towering glaciers, misty fjords, and snowcapped peaks aboard a ship designed to bring you closer to it all—with spacious decks, wraparound viewing areas, and elegant interiors that feel like home. Wake to the call of bald eagles, dine on wild-caught salmon with glacier views, and spend your evenings immersed in live music or stargazing from the open deck. Thoughtful service, refined cuisine, and enriching experiences ashore create a journey that's as unforgettable as the landscapes. Alaska isn't just a destination – it's a moving, ever-changing panorama just beyond your window.
