Your family will get a hands-on presentation of 1944 technologies in an educational exploration of the history of the 1944 D-Day Invasion – and glean the essence of the experience of the khaki clad men and women of the "Special Generation" who liberated France in 1944. A "scavenger hunt" in the Louvre

Hunt for artistic treasures with your family at the Musée du Louvre

The world's most visited museum, the Musée du Louvre houses 35,000 works of art, dating from prehistoric days to contemporary times. Eight million people flock here each year excited to see masterpieces like Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, a resident since 1797; the Winged Victory, dating to 190 BC; the Greek goddess Venus de Milo; and other priceless paintings and sculptures too numerous to list. And this former royal palace turned treasure-filled musée is the perfect place for a fun scavenger hunt with your family!

My grandson had the best time of his life, and it was really fun seeing all the kids interact, thanks to the activities planned by the cruise directors.

This trip was so rich that the memories are lingering. I am sure one of the reasons this trip was so wonderful was that I could spend time with my grandchildren whom I don't see very often. Knowing that Tauck was handling reservations, activities, and even food issues, allowed me to just enjoy this new adventure with my family and new friends.

Most Memorable Moment:

Watching my grandson place a white rose on a cross at Normandy was truly a wonderful mix of emotions: patriotism, sense of history, hope for the future. A gem of a moment I won't forget. By the way, my granddaughter said she wants to be a Tauck tour director when she grows up.

Trip was perfect, highlights of Paris, trip to Versailles, Rouen, and a day viewing, experiencing the beaches of Normandy, including a stop where my father walked on the Omaha Beach, climbed over the dune, up the hill past the German bunkers and big guns on D-Day+1. Tauck and Cruise staff were great, food too! Loved every minute of tour.

Most Memorable Moment:

The full day experiencing the Normandy Beaches, plus lunch at Eiffel Tour, group entrance and tours of Louvre, Monet's Gardens and Palace of Versailles, interacting with the Tauck and Cruise staff, meeting new friends and all of the great meals. Relaxing on the top deck sailing the Seine at night, chatting with family and friends.
