Day 2

Taste your way through Seattle’s culinary soul

The colorful, aromatic, mouthwatering nine acres of Pike Place Market have been called “the soul of Seattle” – because great, fresh, locally produced food is more than mere sustenance here; it’s a way of life. One of America’s oldest farmer’s markets, since 1907 Pike Place has been a cherished institution where hundreds of fishmongers, farmers, and artisan food vendors have gathered to supply the menus for countless dinner tables. Enjoy a tasty culinary walking tour here.

Explore The Butchart Gardens

Day 5

Visit the exquisite floral landscapes of The Butchart Gardens in Victoria

For an experience of unsurpassed floral beauty abloom with history and family heritage, explore The Butchart Gardens, a National Historic Site in Victoria. Established more than a hundred years ago, an enterprising chemist named Jennie Butchart transformed an abandoned limestone quarry on her family’s estate and turned it into renowned show gardens. Each year over a million bedding plants in some 900 varieties promise an uninterrupted bloom from March through October. During your visit, explore what has grown to encompass 55 magnificent acres of flowers and show gardens – including the Sunken Garden (the first to be planted by Jennie Butchart), the Rose Garden, Japanese Garden and Italian Garden.

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Nights 5 and 6

Contemporary twists on a classic... inspired by the romance of travel in the 1930s

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver – the ‘Castle in the City,' with its chateau-style green-clad copper roof and gargoyles – is an architectural landmark in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. A registered heritage property operating since 1939, the hotel symbolizes grandeur and timeless elegance with service and hospitality that has earned it a Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Rating for three consecutive years running. Now, this iconic castle ushers in a new era of glamour, bringing modern luxury to a Canadian classic. In spring 2018, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver completed a four-year multi-phase renovation project inspired by the hotel’s rich history, incorporating the hotel's storied past with modern amenities to create a memorable guest experience for today's discerning traveler.

Our tour guide was the key to our fantastic trip. She was organized, friendly, and gave us interesting information on the places we visited.

Seattle was great. Victoria and Vancouver beautiful. Suggest dropping Portland and allowing time to see more in the other cities. Nice hotels. Experienced driver and tour guide were a plus. Disappointed at the large number of people in a "small" group tour.

Most Memorable Moment:

Food tour at Pike Place Market and se plane to Vancouver.

Nice trip, we didn't care for Portland at all, Seattle was better although I think Tauck missed it by not taking the tour to chiluly glass museum as part of the tour some of us went on our own, liked the wine tasting, then it was on to Canada Victoria and Vancouver best part of trip. I think drop Portland and add extra time in Canada.

Most Memorable Moment:

Loved the food and sea plane.
