WILTON, CT (January 7, 2026) – Tauck announces the opening of bookings for its full 2027 Global Journeys & Safaris portfolio of land, safari, river, and small ship ocean journeys. Building on the company's 25th anniversary of safaris in 2026, Tauck continues to expand its collection of shorter-format safaris  – an approach that has resonated strongly with both new and returning guests.

"Twenty-five years of our safari journeys in Africa represents something special—the deep partnerships we've built with conservation organizations, local communities, and the incredible guides who bring these landscapes to life," said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh. "Through Tauck's Impact efforts, we're supporting the people, wildlife, and landscapes that make these journeys extraordinary. To see our guests embrace this way of traveling—both in Africa and across the world—is deeply meaningful, and it reinforces why this work matters so much."

SHORTER SAFARIS ATTRACT NEW TRAVELERS
Tauck's collection of shorter African safaris complement Tauck's existing portfolio of 11 safari itineraries, which consistently rank among the company's highest-rated journeys and have seen record demand. The three shorter itineraries feature Tauck's Small and Even Smaller Groups (averaging 24 and 15 guests), expert local guides, carefully selected lodges and tented camps, and exclusive cultural encounters.

New for 2026, Spotlight on South Africa and Victoria Falls is a nine-day journey beginning with three nights in Cape Town and experiences including Table Mountain and Cape Point, followed by three nights of game drives in the Greater Kruger Area at Kapama River Lodge. The journey concludes with two nights at Victoria Falls, including visits to the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust clinic and an elephant encounter experience. This new itinerary joins a collection of well-established shorter safari journeys that have proven especially popular with travelers seeking immersive wildlife experiences designed to maximize a shorter timeframe, these include:

Tanzania: Serengeti to Zanzibar is a 10-day immersive expedition from Arusha to Zanzibar through Tanzania's most spectacular game-viewing regions. Guests experience Tarangire National Park's elephant herds, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for close wildlife encounters, and spend three nights in the Serengeti.

Tanzania: A Grand Family Safari is a 10-day Tauck Bridges journey, a multi-generational adventure designed for travelers of all ages to experience East Africa together. The itinerary features experiences like a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti Plains at sunrise and meaningful visits to local schools where children connect across cultures through play and shared stories.

Beyond Africa, Tauck is applying this same shorter-format approach across its global journeys portfolio, including itineraries such as Spotlight on Australia, a 10-day exploration featuring Melbourne's cultural scene, the spiritual heart of Uluru, the kaleidoscopic beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, and Sydney's coastal icons—all connected by three private charter flights for seamless travel throughout the continent.

TRAVELING WITH PURPOSE: TAUCK IMPACT IN AFRICA AND BEYOND
Tauck's anniversary year of safaris in Africa comes as the company renews its commitment to making a positive impact through Tauck Impact, which focuses on supporting communities, preserving cultural and natural heritage, and minimizing environmental impact in the communities where Tauck employees live and work.

In Africa, Tauck maintains active partnerships with organizations creating measurable change, including the Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust which protects vulnerable wildlife and supports nearby communities through rescue work and conservation science. In 2024, the Trust removed 53 snares in combating poaching, rehabilitated 13 animals for release back into the wild, and engaged more than 1,200 local participants—including nearly a thousand students—in conservation education across 37 schools. Tauck's partnership helps fund these programs, ensuring that wildlife conservation benefits both animals and the people who live alongside them.

Save the Rain transforms daily life for women and girls in northern Tanzania by replacing hours-long walks for water with rain-harvesting systems. Since 2006, Tauck's partnership has helped bring clean water to 380 households and four primary schools across seven communities. Through the installation of 40 residential rainwater systems, more than 1,000 individuals now have access to clean water at home. The impact is measurable: 96% of children report no water-related illness and 98% of girls are staying in school.

Tauck supports similar community-based initiatives worldwide, from conservation education programs in South America to clean water access in Southeast Asia. The company partners with organizations including APOPO and Just a Drop in Cambodia, where Tauck operates The Mekong, Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia itinerary. In 2027, this journey will feature a three-night river cruise aboard the Aqua Mekong, a luxury river vessel from the award-winning Aqua Expeditions fleet, recognized for service excellence and providing an intimate look at the rhythm of life along one of the world's great waterways.
