WILTON, CT (July 12, 2022) Travel + Leisure magazine today announced the winners of its 2022 "World's Best Awards," and Wilton-based Tauck is once again the only company to be named to both the magazine's lists of the "World's Best River Cruise Lines" and "World's Best Tour Operators." This year's results mark the 25th consecutive year that Tauck has been honored in the awards, which are based on results from a four-month online survey. The prestigious and comprehensive awards honor the very best in hotels, destinations, airlines, spas, resorts, car-rental agencies, cruise lines and more.

"To be featured in just one 'World's Best' category is a high honor, but to be named to two lists – the 'World's Best River Cruise Lines' and the 'World's Best Tour Operators' – is truly incredible," said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar. "It really speaks to the amazing breadth of our offerings, to our meticulous attention to detail, and to the commitment of our employees and partner-suppliers around the world. And of course, we're thrilled to mark our 25th consecutive year in the 'World's Best Awards'" Mahar added. "It's a true testament to the consistent level of excellence across our operations, and across the past quarter-century." In all, Tauck operates over 150 land tours, safaris, river cruises, small ship ocean cruises and family travel itineraries to 70+ countries and all seven continents.

Tauck, which celebrates the 97th anniversary of its first-ever tour this week, was named the #2 river cruise line in this year's survey results with a score of 96.6. The company's score in the tour operator category was even higher at 96.95, earning it the #12 spot in a field dominated by smaller companies specializing in niche categories such as bicycling trips and adventure travel.
