Why does tauck not offer a trip to Scotland that goes to Oban, isle of Skye and do the ring of brogan. Have been looking into doing Scotland next year and would love to see these places too.
Wondering if it is anything to do with the fact that the summer in the islands bring a really bad insect we call 'midges' flying around all over the place. I lived in Scotland for 3 years when I was first married and we took a camping trip to Skye for a cheap romantic weekend. We ended up sleeping in the car it was so bad. It's definitely known for midges in the summer.
I am wondering if 'Nick of Skara (sp?)Brae' still looks at this forum- with a name like that he probably lives in Scara Brae on the island of Orkney and May be able to answer more questions for you
