Question on the Panama Canal & Costa Rica trip - is there any advantage to doing the west to east trip over the east to west trip? We are thinking about this trip in January.

    We did the westbound tour. I think both ways will provide great experiences. I liked the westbound as we started through the canal late afternoon with the first locks and got to go under the bridges and through last locks at night. Also the highlights for us were on the Pacific side. But either direction - you will have a wonderful trip!
