What made you pick the Small Group Classic Italy?

We are currently looking at the Tauck Classic Italy tours and would like to ask travelers who have taken or will be taking the Classic Italy Small Group tour, what made them choose that tour instead of the Classic Italy tour? Some of the differences are obvious - the size (24 people vs 40 people) and the hotels in the larger cities (boutique chic vs large chains). Are there any other advantages to the Small Group tour?

    I took the Classic Italy tour in Sept. this year. It is a great trip, but to have a smaller group would be advantage and if they stay in smaller hotels that would be a plus.

    After the trip I took the train to just outside Venice and stayed in a small hotel. It was very interesting. If you can afford it that is the way to see Italy.

    My Australia/New Zealand trip was pretty much a small group with 29 on one leg and 28 on the other. luckily we all got along pretty well.
