SEAT ASSIGNMENT QUESTION

TO: Tauck General FAQ:

When Tauck makes a flight booking AS PART OF purchased tour, is the traveler given a record locator number to review the booking and change seat assignment or make seat assignment? Also, can a traveler upgrade the seat on his/her own and pay the fee?

    Hi Bob,

    We always try book seat assignments at the time of booking and it goes over on their confirmation from us. Once the airline reservation is ticketed, we do provide the airlines record locator to our guests. Many of our guests request that their airline tickets be issued early so they can go online and reserve premium economy seats at their own expense.

    Thanks Emily...that answers the question and that was "my plan" also. I assume then when a booking is paid in full, the "internal" airline booking is made with record locator number in file as long as its 331 days or less from travel.
