May 15, 2013 & dressy evenings

Anyone out there leaving on the May 15, 2013 tour? My husband and I are super excited to be on this tour.

Can anyone who has been on this tour tell me what evenings we should plan on dressier clothes for dinner? Certainly the welcome and farewell dinners, but any other evenings?

I have not taken this tour yet but most Tauck tours beginning and end dinners just dress nice. I usually wear a nice pair of pants and nice shirt. No need to take real dressy clothes and weight down your suitcase.

    Hello Tauck Lady,

Crackers54 is absolutely correct, no need for real dressy clothes. This tour is casual, dress for comfort and convenience with a wardrobe that is flexible and allows for layering. Casual, cotton clothing is recommended.

In Europe, especially in finer restaurants, it is generally customary to dress somewhat formally. Slacks or a dress for women and a jacket for men are acceptable dining attire, but not required on tour. It is advisable to avoid wearing jeans, sneakers or shorts for dinner. You may also wish to dress up a bit for the welcome reception and the farewell dinner, but by all means be comfortable.

    Hope this helps,
    Emily
