Yellowstone & Grand Teton-North - 9/13/12

Am concerned about what type of clothing we will need on this tour. It looks as if it can get pretty cold at Yellowstone, but not aware of the Grand Tetons and other cities. Any help on packing would be really appreciated.

    Hi Lynnnj01,

Wear clothing that can be layered would be the best suggestions. As a fair amount of time is spent enjoying the outdoors, comfortable and casual clothing is recommended while on this itinerary. Cotton shirts, skirts, pants, and shorts are sufficient. A light jacket, fleece, or windbreaker, as well as layers of clothing are suggested, for cooler temperatures during early morning and evenings. Most important are lightweight walking shoeswith ankle support.

You can check www.weather.com for latest weather forecasts.

    Hope this helps,
    Emily

..and a pair of waterproof hiking shoes with good wool or wool blend socks are good to have. There is nothing worse than wet shoes and/or blisters on your feet. We have traveled in the Rockies a number of times and weather pops up quickly sometimes and trails get muddy.
