Our Galabeya Party Aboard Ship

The “Galabeya Night” party was very lively. Almost every traveler wore clever Egyptian costume. Male passengers tied the scarves sold by street vendors around their heads to match the crew’s attire and ladies wore bangled scarves on their heads and hips. Everybody took delightful photos of each other and had a merry time. The special Egyptian cuisine of the evening meal was more delicious than what was offered at the fancy restaurants of Mena House Oberoi. After the meal, the crew showed us their dancing skills and invited everybody to join them. The ship was jumping (and we have not yet been treated to an exhibit of belly dancing – other than Matt’s special display). What a night!
