Planning Your Safari
Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned traveler in Africa, preparing for your journey is key to having a great experience on the road and in the bush, savanna, and desert. When deciding on a safari, consider the best group size for you; most of our trips range from 20 – 30 guests. If you’ll be traveling with your kids or grandchildren, choose our Tauck Bridges family vacation, Tanzania: A Grand Family Safari, designed just for families. After you’ve selected your safari, promptly take care of the vaccination and visa requirements for each country you plan to visit, read up on them, and pack thoughtfully – without over packing! Keep in mind that on most Tauck safaris we give you a duffel bag to pack for select overnights, so you won’t have to take your big suitcase with you everywhere.
Clothing and Packing
On Tauck Africa journeys, dress for comfort most days in safari-appropriate clothes; it’s only in South Africa’s larger cities that you might want to dress up a bit. We’ve made of list of what to bring.
