About Ken Burns
Ken has been making films for more than 30 years; he founded his own documentary company, Florentine Films, in 1976. Since his Academy Award nominated Brooklyn Bridge in 1981, his filmography includes popular films such as The National Parks: America's Best Idea, The War, Jazz, Baseball, Prohibition, The Roosevelts: An Intimate History, The Dust Bowl, Mark Twain, The Shakers: Hands To Work, Hearts To God, and more, including The Civil War – American public television's highest-rated series. His work has won Emmy Awards, Peabody Awards and two Oscar nominations; in 2008, he received a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award.
About Dayton Duncan
Dayton is the author of ten books and former director of the National Park Foundation. He wrote and produced with Ken Burns The National Parks: America's Best Idea, for which he won two Emmys. Dayton was also the co-writer and consulting producer for a 12-hour series on the American West that won the Erik Barnouw Award from the Organization of American Historians, and is a consultant for many Ken Burns films.

In 2010, we approached award-winning filmmakers Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan about joining together to develop special travel experiences around the themes of their documentary films. Together, five years later, we’ve enhanced 13 journeys and created over 100 original film vignettes ("Stories by Ken Burns"), created six tours ("Crafted by Tauck and Ken Burns") and developed special events ("Ken Burns Events") with Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan; they connect guests with destinations in deep and lasting ways. In 2016, our partnership continues to flourish.
