Anyone going on the March 3, 2016 Australian/New Zealand trip?

I am going on this trip and looking for other travelers of this particular trip. I am also going a day early and wondering if anyone else is traveling from IAD to San Francisco to NZ? Any suggestions for tour/things to do in free time options? Any advance purchase tickets for Opera House or private tours in free time I need to get? Any suggestions for particular helpful type of clothing to take on this trip for this time of year? Thanks
