bedding arrangements

We are going to take our first Tauck tour of the Red Rocks and Painted Canyons in April of 2016. My husband and I will be traveling with our 12 year old grandson. The reservationist at Tauck told me that we would have two "double" beds or "twins" in each room with a rollaway. I was disappointed to think that it wouldn't be two queens and a rollaway. If the bed is a queen, My husband and I could share a bed and let our grandson sleep in the other. Most hotels don't seem to use "doubles" anymore. Is this really true from your experience? I am going to miss sleeping with my hubby for 8 full days!
