For those of you who have taken the Iceland trip, how strenuous is the trip? I am particularly interested in any comments on walking on uneven surfaces or if you encountered ice on the northern part of the trip.
I did this tour a few years ago. Walking on the cobblestones in Europe was more difficult than walking in Iceland. I do not remember any uneven surfaces. As regards ice in the northern part, there wasn't any. This was not what I would consider a strenuous trip. Most areas that one walked on were fairly smooth. This is one of my favorite tours and I would do it again if there were not so many other places that I want to see.
