Thoughts on where to spend an extra day; San Jose or Panama City?

Anyone have experience in San Jose and or Panama City? We have an extra day on the small ship cruise in January 2016. Should we use it in San Jose or Panama City?

    I am traveling on this trip starting in Panama City on Jan. 7. I am using my extra day in Panama City as I have been in San Jose previously, but not Panama City. Which trip are you taking?

    Sorry for the delayed response. We will be going on a February 2016 tour starting in Panama City. We haven’t yet investigated what to do on the extra day in Panama City. Please share any experiences you believe will be helpful, have a Great Tour in January!
