Meet Tauck Bridges Family Traveler, Debbie Perovich
– The perfect vacation; I didn’t have to think!
Debbie Perovich says that her teenaged sons love looking forward to new destinations; the family has traveled to California, Costa Rica, Las Vegas and Alaska – and Debbie has always handled the travel planning. This past year, however, set a new level of time demands on the family; so when it came to planning for a next new destination, she asked for help.
Glancing through travel brochures for ideas, she was reminded that her parents had traveled with Tauck when she was a teenager. That led her to “cold call” Tauck Reservations and she says, “I’m so glad I did!”
In June, the family traveled on Tauck Bridges Italia Bella: Rome to Venice. Debbie and her husband had been to Europe on their honeymoon; their 15 and 18 year old sons, never. “Fabulous!,” she says about the experience. All the important sights of Italy, its art and architecture, were packed in for a perfect first trip abroad for her sons. And for her husband, who couldn’t get away for longer, the eight-day program was a great fit.
“The kids loved being with other kids on the trip. It was nice for all of us – they wanted to be together, with the older ones typically looking out for the younger ones.” When there was time to explore on their own, her sons always wanted to hook up with other families. “Traveling together worked well!”
“Traveling with Tauck made it easy to go to Europe with kids,” says Debbie. “They weren’t whining and we weren’t stressing because they were feeling bored or we’d lost our way. When you travel as a family, no one wants to deal with the inconveniences...” What time did we have to be where? Did I have my audio headset? Our Tauck Director was lovely, patient and took care of it all. This was the perfect vacation; “I didn’t have to think!”
