Galapagos: Wildlife Wonderland Holiday Departure - 2015

Introducing Earth Journeys... Created by Tauck and BBC Earth

2015 Prices From $6,283 plus on-tour air for 9 Days - Tauck Bridges

You and your family have an opportunity to discover wildlife found nowhere else in the world with Tauck and BBC Earth... featuring Santa Cruz II! Join us on this Earth Journeys family travel experience, featuring BBC Earth on-tour films and a specialist wildlife filming kit. Pack your bathing suits, sunscreen, hats and comfortable hiking shoes and prepare to get wet as you set sail for some of the most amazing tropical islands in the world... our special December 21, 2015 9-day Holiday Departure of Tauck Bridges' family Galápagos cruises features a 5-night cruise aboard Santa Cruz II. A treasure trove of unique creatures live below the ocean's surface, and with the aid of Go Pro captures you can capture what can't be seen from above. Have you ever seen birds wearing bright red or blue "shoes"? You will during this eco-cruise because the Galápagos is one of their favorite places to kick up their heels. How about prehistoric-looking iguanas? Or penguins and sea lions so friendly that they might swim right alongside you in brilliant blue water? Even the crabs are different here, with their bright red and yellow shells that provide quite a contrast to the black-lava rocks of these volcanic islands. Parabolic microphones bring the voices of nature to your ears... thermal imaging cameras bring the nighttime world "to light"... learn from Galápagos naturalists who travel with you... take walks on lave terrains... travel ashore via pangas... swim and snorkel... And so much more!

Cruise itineraries are approved by the Galápagos National Park Service 30 to 60 days before departure and are therefore subject to change.

The Tauck Difference

Absolutely a great place to visit. This was not a "sit on the beach" vacation. Lots of hiking, snorkeling and informative talks. The ship, Santa Cruz, was very good. Getting a little on the old side but still good. The crew was excellent all the way from cooks to naturalists. The Tauck tour director was excellent!
