Essence of South America

2015 Prices From $6,690 plus on-tour air for 14 Days - Tauck World Discovery

Tauck’s 14-day Essence of South America tours a trio South American countries and inspires with in-depth discoveries of the many natural and architectural wonders of South America. From the western coast of Chile to the eastern coast of Brazil by way of Patagonia and the Andes (through some of the continent's most breathtaking scenery), we’ll share the pleasures of this wonderfully diverse continent with you. Spend multiple nights in world-class South American cities – two in Santiago, and three in Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro – at fine hotels in the heart of each city. Cross the Andes overland and by private boat. View spectacular Iguazú Falls from both Brazil and Argentina. Sample the fine wines of Chile and famous Argentinian beef; get a behind-the-scenes look at Rio's colorful Carnaval; feel the passion and the heat of the tango and the samba. This most enriching of South America tours is the experience of a lifetime!

The Tauck Difference

Essence of South America lived up to its name - it gives you the flavor of three different countries. This was our first organized tour and we loved it. Tauck provided a great balance of big city sights and beautiful country sights. The pace of the trip was wonderful and the organization of the logistics of moving between locations was exceptional. Our most memorable moment was Iguazu Falls. Photographs do not do it justice. You need to go there and experience it – from both sides. Beautiful view of Falls from the hotel rooms – thank you Tauck!
