Normandy, Brittany, Paris & the Loire Valley

2015 Prices From $6,390 for 13 Days - Tauck World Discovery

Your journey through Normandy tours Brittany and the lovely Loire Valley, capped off with three nights in Paris. Visit the Normandy beaches of D-Day. Magnificent châteaux built by kings and nobles and abbeys steeped in history open their doors to Tauck guests on insider tours both informative and inspired. Your accommodations are unique, including two nights at Château de Rochecotte – called "home" in the 1700s by Prince Tallyrand and the Duchess of Dino. At Château de Champchevrier, owned by the same family since the 1720s, Le Baron personally welcomes Tauck guests during a private reception and dinner that includes a hunting hounds demonstration in full regalia. Formal gardens inspire awe during your visit to Château de Villandry, and the Apocalypse and Bayeux tapestries mesmerize at Château d’Angers and Château Josselin near the Brittany Coast. Visit Normandy's poignant D-Day beaches, magnificent Mont-St-Michel, Monet's beloved Giverny and Chartres Cathedral. In Paris, Notre Dame Cathedral entices with Gothic wonders; explore Musée d'Orsay along with Paris' landmark sites, and bid Paris adieu with a private farewell dinner cruise on the Seine.

The Tauck Difference

We had a truly great experience with this tour; our first with Tauck. The Tauck Director, the rooms and the food and drink were all first rate. The pace of the tour was well thought out and gave us enough time to see the important sights. We had time on our own at various times, and this was good. Not sure whether my experience on the Normandy D-Day beaches, or the great time we had in Paris, were the most memorable.
