Many Tauck travelers prefer arriving at their destination a day before their Tauck journey begins, or often extend a stay at the end of their trip.
As a service, Tauck will make hotel reservations before and after your journey. Rooms are usually reserved at the first or last night’s hotel property of a tour so there is no worry of having to change hotels or rooms at the start or end of your trip. Rooms are reserved on a space-available basis, and the cost is added to your tour cost.

Transportation between the airport and hotel: Calgary International Airport is approximately 12 miles (19 kilometers) away; travel time is about 30 minutes. Transfers to the hotel are included, provided we have complete and current arrival flight information at least two weeks prior to departure. When you arrive at the Calgary Airport, after claiming your luggage and clearing customs, proceed to the Sundog Transportation Booth (outside customs) and identify yourself as a Tauck World Discovery guest. Sundog Transportation is open from 8AM to 6PM; however they will not leave until all flights have arrived, providing we have all guest flight information.
On the day the tour begins, the Tauck Director will pick you up at the hotel at the time indicated in your tour documents. Please check out of the hotel and be ready, with your luggage, in the lobby at this time.
