Date AvailabilityDo you publish available dates for your journeys on your Website? Yes, you can locate available dates by using our “Journey Finder” that is located on the left side of each page on our Website. How do I use “Journey Finder”? From our homepage at www.tauck.com you can view available departure dates through our “Journey Finder,” which is located on the left side of each page on our Website. You have two options to access availability by either choosing “Search by Destination” or “Search by Travel Type.” If you click on“Search by Destination,” you will be prompted to choose your area of interest. Upon selecting your destination, we will automatically take you to our Search Results page where you can choose the journey you are interested in and the departure dates available. If you click on “Search by Travel Type,” you will be prompted to select a travel type that is of interest to you. Once you have selected the travel type we will automatically take you to our Search Results page where you will be displayed journeys that match your selected travel type. What is the icon listing that is located on the Travel Type and Itinerary page? This listing provides you with a short description of the icons that are associated with each Tauck journey. What do the markings on the calendar mean? There are three types of markings - each one represents the status of the journey departure date. A green square means that this date has space available for travel, a blue circle means this date has limited availability and a red X means this date is sold out. If you are interested in any marked date please contact our Reservations Sales Center or your travel agent. You can reach one of our Reservations Sales Counselors at 800-788-7885. Our Reservations Sales Center is open Monday-Friday 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM E.S.T., Saturday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM E.S.T. and Sunday 12:00 noon – 5:00 PM E.S.T. I can’t locate the country or region that I am interested in traveling to. What should I do? If you cannot find the country or region that you are interested in we suggest you call our Reservations Sales Center or contact your travel agent for assistance in finding the right journey for you. I seem to have received different information regarding the available departure date for the journey I am interested in taking. Your Website said the date I am interested in is available, but my travel agent was told by your Reservations Sales Counselor that the journey is sold out. The departure dates that are viewed on our Website are updated every 24 hours. When we list a date on our Website there is no guarantee that it will be available when you or your travel agent contacts Tauck to make your reservation. Many of our journeys sell out quickly so we recommend you call our Reservations Sales Center at 800-788-7885or contact your travel agent as soon as possible once you determine the departure date you are interested in. When I click on “Full Details” for the journey I am interested in nothing happens. What do I do? There may be temporary technical problems with Tauck’s Website if you are unable to advance and view the itinerary. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope the situation is resolved within an acceptable time frame for you. When I click on “Check Availability” for the journey I am interested in nothing happens. What do I do? There may be temporary technical problems with Tauck’s Website or you may have already opened the page that contains the available dates. You can easily verify that the page is not already open by looking at the bottom of your computer screen. If the page is already open you will see a rectangular box that contains a symbol that looks like a small piece of paper with an e across it and the word availability next to it. If this appears, the page is open and all you need to do is double-click it to open the page. If you do not see the rectangular box there may be temporary technical problems with Tauck’s Website. I see other journeys listed to the left of the calendar; why are you recommending these journeys? We often provide our customers with alternative suggestions if the departure date is not available for the journey they are interested in. The journeys we have listed may visit similar areas or they may have departure dates that coincide with the journey you were initially interested in traveling on. Why is the month that I wish to travel in not coming up? The months that you can view are specific for the journey you have selected. If a particular month is not showing it means that we do not have any departure dates for this journey during the month that you have selected. I noticed that one of the journeys I was interested in traveling on had a special offer displayed on the calendar page. Why did this special offer not appear on the other journeys I reviewed? Tauck may choose to provide a special offer that is only applicable to a specific journey and/or a specific departure date. These special offers cannot be applied to any other journey that you may be interested in traveling on. If you have questions about a special offer call our Reservations Sales Center at 800-788-7885 or contact your travel agent. I always bookmark the Website pages I am interested in viewing at a later date. I have tried several times to bookmark the available dates calendar page that coincides with the journey I am considering but am unsuccessful. Unfortunately, because departure dates sell out quickly, we do not allow the bookmarking of the calendar page because it is updated every 24 hours. If we were to allow this page to be bookmarked, you could be lead to believe the departure date you were interested in was available for travel when it has been sold out. When speaking with your Reservations Sales Counselor I was told I purchased the last available seat on the journey. When I went to your Website the calendar still shows that space is available. The calendar that shows the departure dates available for each journey is updated every 24 hours. Dates sold after the last update occurred may be reflected as available on the calendar. When we list a date on our Website there is no guarantee that it will be available when you or your travel agent contacts Tauck to make your reservation. |
