NORWALK, CT (May 9, 2013) Guests on several Tauck itineraries visiting London will learn about Sir Winston Churchill, regarded by many as the most influential figure in British history, from a source intimately familiar with his life – his granddaughter Celia Sandys. An internationally acclaimed author and speaker, Sandys is a noted biographer who has published five books and hosted television specials chronicling Churchill’s life.

NORWALK, CT (April 26, 2013) Tauck has revealed information on the deck plans and cabin configurations for the new riverboats it will be launching in Europe next year, and the two newbuilds will each have 57% more suites than the company’s existing Jewel Class vessels (which already have far more suites than most other riverboats).

NORWALK, CT (April 4, 2013) Tauck has unveiled a new 11-day journey to Patagonia for 2014 that explores the landscapes, culture and history of the rugged region shared by Chile and Argentina near South America’s southern tip. The new “Patagonia” itinerary will feature departures from January through March and from October through December of next year, and it is among 31 different trips comprising Tauck’s portfolio of 2014 Exotics journeys. NORWALK, CT (March 27, 2013) Tauck has added a new 11-day exploration of China to its portfolio of Asian journeys, increasing the total number of land and cruise itineraries in Asia to nine for 2013. For this year the company has also added a new 17-day journey in Northern India and Nepal, as well as a 16-day land and sea exploration of Southeast Asia featuring the new luxury small ship, Le Soléal.

NORWALK, CT (March 12, 2013)  Tauck is marking St. Patrick’s Day this week by announcing details of its new “Ireland Forever” itinerary to the Emerald Isle.  The 8-day journey has been designed specifically for families, and is part of the company’s Tauck Bridges collection of family travel adventures.

NORWALK, CT (March 5, 2013) Tauck has disclosed the names of the two new riverboats it will launch next year, and announced that the ships will each be considerably longer than the four sister-ships that currently comprise the company’s fleet. The new ships, the ms Inspire and ms Savor, will both be 443 feet long, compared to Tauck’s existing ships which each measure 361 feet. Despite being 23% longer, the two newbuilds will only accommodate 130 guests each, or just 10% more than its current ships.

NORWALK, CT (February 27, 2013) Baseball legend and Hall of Fame Member Ozzie Smith has joined the roster of former players, authors and experts who will be attending “The Tauck Baseball Event: America’s Pastime” in Cooperstown, New York, in June. The four-day event (June 27-30, 2013) is being designed and offered by Tauck in cooperation with Ken Burns, whose PBS film Baseball earned nearly 20 different awards and award nominations, and spawned a critically-acclaimed sequel, The Tenth Inning. Burns will deliver the event’s keynote speech and greet Tauck guests during an exclusive, “after-hours” evening inside the National Baseball Hall of Fame that includes a cocktail and dessert reception, and the opportunity to tour the Hall of Fame’s exhibits when the facility is closed to the public.

NORWALK, CT (February 6, 2013) Tauck has announced a new 16-day land and sea exploration of Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore centered around an 11-day cruise aboard the new luxury small ship, Le Soléal. Scheduled to launch this summer in Italy, the 466-foot ship has a capacity of 264 passengers and it will also be featured on selected 2013 sailings of Tauck’s cruise exploration of Iceland.

NORWALK, CT (January 29, 2013)  Tauck announced today that it will welcome two newbuilds into its fleet of European riverboats next year, bringing the total number of Tauck ships on Europe’s rivers to six.  According to company officials, the new vessels are slated to launch in March and June of 2014.  In addition Tauck will launch four new river cruise itineraries in Europe next year.

Currently under construction at the Vahali Shipyards in Gendt, the Netherlands, the ms Treasures will feature new beds and an enhanced cabin décor, both of which Tauck is implementing fleet-wide for 2011. Following its christening next August in Germany, the ms Treasures will sail on five different Tauck itineraries, ranging from the company’s popular “The Blue Danube” cruise to its 24-day, transcontinental “Grand European Cruise.”

NORWALK, CT (November 2, 2010) An in-depth, 10-day tour exploring six iconic National Parks of the southwestern U.S. will be the first new itinerary designed by filmmakers Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan in collaboration with leading tour operator Tauck, it was announced today.
