  • Tauck Adds Costa Rica Itineraries to 2016 Portfolio of BBC Earth Trips

    NORWALK, CT (June 10, 2015)  For 2016 Tauck is expanding the breadth of its “Earth Journeys” partnership with the award-winning nature documentary filmmakers at BBC Earth to include its three trips exploring Costa Rica.  Each of the three itineraries will be enhanced with exclusive content provided through the BBC Earth partnership, and the trio of Costa Rica trips join over a dozen other Earth Journeys itineraries already operating in Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America and Antarctica.

  • Tauck Partners With Grand Teton National Park To Create “American Indian Artist-in-Residence” Program

    NORWALK, CT (May 20, 2015)  Tauck and Grand Teton National Park have announced a new American Indian Artist-in-Residence program that will support traditional and contemporary American Indian arts, while also educating Tauck guests and other park visitors through direct interaction with the participating artists.  The new program continues Tauck’s longstanding support of the national parks, which have been prominently featured on many of the company’s domestic land journeys since founder Arthur Tauck Sr.’s very first tour in 1925.

  • Ken Burns Hosts, Narrates New History of Tauck Video

    NORWALK, CT (May 14, 2015)  As Tauck continues to celebrate the 90th anniversary of its founding, the company is sharing the story of its origins and evolution in a new video featuring America’s premier documentary filmmaker, Ken Burns.  Burns hosts the new ten-minute “Tauck: An American Story” video and provides its narration, recounting how Arthur Tauck Sr., then a young traveling salesman, brought six paying guests along on an 1,100 mile sales trip through New England and southeastern Canada in 1925.  The video goes on to highlight key moments over Tauck’s nine decades, from becoming America’s first licensed “tour broker” in 1935 to the global diversification of the company’s offerings, to its strong presence at the forefront of European river cruising today.Read more...
  • Award-Winning Lincoln Scholar Harold Holzer to Address Tauck Guests in Gettysburg

    NORWALK, CT (April 30, 2015)  With the world marking the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination this spring, Tauck has announced that noted Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer will address guests on a special departure of its “Most Hallowed Ground” Civil War tour in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, next September.  Holzer has authored, co-authored and edited 49 books devoted mostly to Lincoln, and he is the 2015 winner of the $50,000 Gilder Lehrman Lincoln Prize for outstanding scholarship on the 16th president.  Holzer also served as a consultant to the critically-acclaimed Steven Spielberg film “Lincoln.”
