Cruising the Galápagos Islands

Introducing Earth Journeys... Created by Tauck and BBC Earth

2015 Prices From $5,740 plus on-tour air for 9 Days - Tauck Cruising

New for 2015 – cruise with Tauck and BBC Earth on a true adventure that is one of the most enriching travel adventures you'll ever experience. Throughout your Galápagos cruise you'll immerse in the Earth Journeys experience, featuring BBC Earth on-tour films and a specialist wildlife filming kit. Your wildlife viewing experience is enhanced by camera technology such as thermal imaging cameras, and parabolic or directional microphones that capture the voices of nature and bring them to your ears. Enjoy a six-night Galápagos cruise aboard one of the finest expeditionary-style yachts in the region, Isabela II – and experience amazing wildlife viewing and an opportunity to get up-close to creatures such as blue-footed boobies, sea lions, iguanas and penguins. Our Galápagos cruise itinerary is flexible, allowing the ship to access many remote islands, choosing beaches that are full of wildlife for shore excursions with our expert naturalists. Landings are made in a panga, a Zodiac-style raft. Dry landings mean stepping from the panga onto rocks or a dock – with the helpful hand of a Tauck naturalist; wet landings require stepping into knee-deep water from the panga, then wading ashore onto a sandy beach.

The Tauck Difference

We thoroughly enjoyed our Galápagos adventure; our Tauck Director's effort was 'above and beyond' to ensure a most informative and rewarding experience. It would be most appreciated if you would pass this on to the captain of the Isabella II; the ship's crew was professional, polite, friendly, and helpful. The naturalists aboard were all very patient and took pains to answer our questions and impart their vast array of knowledge. Our entire group appreciated the overall effort to see to it that our experience was (once in a lifetime) unforgettable.
