The Sweet Life: Rome & Sorrento

2013 Prices From $3,398 for 7 Days - Tauck Bridges

Tauck Bridges' Italy family vacation offers so much to enjoy together in the sunny south of Italy, you'll never want it to end! On our exclusive after-hours visit to the Vatican Museums, view some of the world's most magnificent art treasures at your own pace... without the crowds! Explore the Colosseum, where you can say ciao to a Roman Centurion, and Rome's ancient underground catacombs, where you'll learn all about a "secret language"... pick up some "combat skills" at gladiator school... and find out what could happen when you make a wish and throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain! Pompeii reveals its mysteries as you walk among its ancient stone streets and excavated buildings. Sweet Sorrento is the gateway to both the fabled Amalfi Coast and the enchanted Isle of Capri. Drive along a road that twists and turns like a roller coaster on the Amalfi Coast and ride a jet boat to Capri. Learn to make authentic pizza in Sorrento, savor gelato and try your hand at making paper. This Italy family vacation from Tauck Bridges is truly the sweet life, indeed!

The Tauck Difference

We loved Italy on our Bridges trip! We saw SO many things in Rome, Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi in just 5 1/2 days. Our Tauck Director and local guides were great. Very professional and fun as well. They brought history to life! Learning, plus time to swim!! The kids ages (11 - 16) were a great mix. The tour gave us more time to see things and no time wasted dealing with logistics. There were too many memorable moments to choose, but the private tour of the Sistine chapel at night was incredible and a totally unique opportunity; the cliffs along the Amalfi coast, stunning; the view from the top of Capri, awesome; making your own pizza at a farm....YUM!
